Forbes Road Career and Technology Center is seeking instructional assistants in the areas of Building Construction, Diesel Technology and Electrical Technology for the 2012-2013 school year.  If you have work experience in these fields and would enjoy sharing your knowledge with high school students, then this is the ideal part time job.  The hours are from 7:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., Monday thru Friday during the school year.  Act 34/151/114 Clearances are required. Forbes Road Career and Technology Center is seeking individual to transport students and staff on an occasional basis to and from competitions and various school events for the 2012-2013 school year.  Driver must have a CDL, school bus driving experience and current Act 34/151/114 Clearances. Machinist Trainee
Function: To setup and operate manual or CNC machines
Department: Mechanical Production
Overview:
Employees needed with strong math skills and mechanical aptitude to enter a company-sponsored machinist-training program. 
Vocation school with exposure to manual or CNC machining a plus.
 
Machinist (CNC)
Function: To machine parts to tight tolerances using CNC machines.

Overview:
Experienced machinists needed for CNC Mills and Lathes. 
Should have 2 years of programming and operating experience and be able to read blueprints and other machine shop documents.
Mazak experience a plus.
 
Mechanical Assembly – Entry Level
Function: To assemble products per drawings.
Department: Mechanical Production
Overview:
Training provided - no experience necessary. Entry level positions in the mechanical or motor assembly department.
Performs assembly of light material and parts or basic assembly of magnet tracks, motor armatures, linear and rotary motors requiring some precision.
Production assembly experience or vocational or technical school training is helpful but not required.
 
Mechanical Assembly – Experienced
Function: Assemble and test mechanical products per drawings and other documentation.
Department: Mechanical Production
Overview:
Positions available in the mechanical assembly department to perform assembly of parts and systems where a high level of precision is needed. 
Will be required to use a variety of high tech testing equipment and need a reliance on your troubleshooting skills.
Several years of production assembly experience or vocational or technical school training is required. 
 
Electronic System Wiring/Soldering – Entry Level
Function: To wire or assemble products per drawings.
Department: Electrical Production
Overview:
Responsibilities include reading drawings, wiring, modifying, assembling, and rework/repair of electronic products.
Experience with hand tools, crimpers, and hand soldering a plus but not required.
Production wiring/assembly experience or vocational or technical school training is helpful but not required.
 
SMT Process Technician
Function: Programming and maintenance of various SMT equipment
Department: Electrical Production
Overview:
1-5 years experience in operation, programming and maintenance of various SMT equipment required (placement machines, screen printers, reflow ovens, and automated inspection equipment). 
Candidate should be familiar with PCB Assembly and SMT Assembly processes. ASEET degree or equivalent required.
 
Electronic Technician
Function: Component or systems level testing and troubleshooting.
Department: Electrical Production 
Overview:
Applicants should have a degree in electronic technology and 0-5 years of experience at PCB level testing, troubleshooting to component level and/or systems level testing and analysis.
 
Software/Computer GUI Engineer
Function: Write software in a .NET environment for our advanced motion control product line.

Electrical Safety Engineer
Function: Support UL and CE electrical safety requirements.

Aerotech is seeking an Electrical Safety Engineer to support UL and CE electrical safety requirements. 
The position requires hands-on laboratory testing, fault simulation, failure analysis, and product design measures required to meet safety and EMC standards. 
Strong documentation and organizational skills are required.
Familiarity with domestic and international wiring standards, servo systems, emergency stop and EMC compliance is a plus. 
This position requires an AS or BS degree in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology and a minimum of 2 years related experience.
 
Electrical/Computer Engineer
Function: Embedded hardware & firmware development
Department: Engineering
Overview:
Aerotech is seeking Electrical/Computer Engineers for embedded hardware and firmware development.
Primary responsibilities include VHDL logic implementation for FPGAs and DSP firmware development using C language. 
Familiarity with analog circuits, power supply design and PWM amplifier design considered a plus. 
This position requires a BS or MS degree in EE/CE and 0-5 years of experience.
 
Mechanical Development Engineer
Function: Development of high performance, extremely accurate mechanical positioning equipment.
Department: Mechanical Engineering
Overview :
Candidates should have an interest in developing high performance, extremely accurate mechanical positioning components and electromechanical systems for a diverse state-of-the-art product line. 
Requirements include a BSME, MSME or a Ph.D. degree in mechanical engineering and 0-5 years experience.
Candidates must possess strong development, practical and analytical skills also reflected in high academic achievement and should be proficient in the use of CAD software. 
Relevant work experience, co-op or internship participation a plus. Excellent communications skills are required for this position.

Building Maintenance Technician CSL

We are seeking an experienced Building Maintenance Technician as we move into this next level of sustainable building management.
 
Within the context of achieving the highest level of green buildings and operations possible, the essential duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:
 
 Maintenance, repair and commissioning of all renewable energy sources including solar panel arrays and wind turbine.
 Operating, installing and maintaining equipment including boilers, pumps, valves, piping, generators, air conditioning, compressors, fans and related machinery.
 Installing and maintaining electrical equipment including switches, controls, motors, lighting, wiring, etc.
 Managing and completing work tickets.
 Assisting with setup and tear down of seasonal exhibits and displays.
 
Degree in appropriate field and 3-5 years’ relevant work experience are required, as well as a valid Pennsylvania driver’s license. Must be available to work all different shifts, including holidays and weekends. Skill required in operating personal computer utilizing a variety of computer software.
